• Completion of the research project Usage of VQE and QPE for Chemical Problems and delivering a poster presentation. (Poster, Code)
• Completion of an introductory course on Quantum Computing using Qiskit in Python on Google Colab covering:
  • Gates: X, H, CX, rotation, Y, Z
  • Algorithms: Bell state, Bernstein-Vazirani
  • Experiments: Coin flip, Quantum Teleportation
• Completion of an introductory course on Quantum Mechanics covering:
  • The need for a departure from Classical Physics (Photelectric Effect, Rutherford's model of the atom, discrete spectra of elements)
  • Wave-particle duality of matter and the 2nd-order Bohmian Mechanics approach to Quantum Mechanics
  • The Schroedinger Equation and Wave Mechanics
  • Abstract Quantum Mechanics on Hilbert spaces
  • The Measurement Problem in Quantum Mechanics and how it is resolved by Bohmian Mechanics
• Completion of a set of Introduction to Research workshops covering:
  • The world of academic research
  • Effective study skills
  • Personal knowledge management
  • Time management and scheduling
  • Project management and team work
  • Writing as an academic (paper writing and poster making)
  • Literature search, referencing and writing in LaTeX
  • Productivity tools in research
• Completion of all the required preparation and consolidation tasks for each topic, either individually, or in a team

  • Introduction to the ZX Calculus
